MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation

As you may have seen in one of my previous posts i have finally invested in a MAC foundation! I went to get matched up and the sales women asked me a few questions about my skin and in the end i opted for Studio Sculpt Foundation and I was matched to NW20. I have used this quite a few times and thought it was defiantly time for a review!

Studio Sculpt is a gel-based foundation which I had never even heard of! The texture is lovely and a little goes a long way! It gives you a medium/buildable coverage with a satin finish!
It is very long wearing I wear this to college and it stay on perfectly! Its a lovely texture and feel so soft on your skin, its great for drier skin as its feels a lot more moisturising and doesn't emphasize flaky skin.
I found that my Bobbi Brown foundation brush wasn't the best for applying this and i think it is because it is gel based so its a very different constancy, so i also tried a make up sponge and stippling brush and i found the my KCo stippling brush was a great match to apply this foundation with!
The foundation has SPF 15 which is a great bonus especially if you live somewhere sunny! (where i live not so much!)

My final thoughts- I really love this foundation, the color matched me very well and the constancy and texture feels lovely!

MAC - £23 (but its worth it! - treat yourself!)

Revlon lip butters!

Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter

The Revlon Lip Butters came out in the US a while back and I've been waiting for the day where I see them in my local Superdrug or Boots, but I'm sure they were supposed to be out on Monday, there was no show! I am so impatient and there was hope- Boots have been selling them online for a while now and they are currently on 2 for £10 (normally £7.99 each) so if you are like me and they aren't in your local store yet there is hope!

Click here for the website!

I was not prompted from boots for this post i just want to share the information with my readers! love you all xo

Topshop Lipstick - Innocent

As you may have seen in my previous blog i have recently purchased my first Topshop Lipstick in Innocent

I didn't think I was going to pick up a lipstick but as soon as I saw this I had to! I love the cute packaging, and the fact that the lid clicks on so this will keep the lipstick from squashing all over your make up bag and the prices are reasonable at £8

I adore the color, it's hard to describe. It's a dark nude with a soft pink/burgandy undertone its soo pretty! The textures are wonderful  and soft and also moisturising as i can't wear a lot of lipsticks because of my horrible dry lips! The finish has a gloss shine to it but not that much!

As you can see its a gorgeous soft pink, really natural but pretty! Great for a day time look or wear a little more with a gloss for the night time!

So overall I'm so pleased with this and really recommenced these lipsticks!

have you tried any of the Topshop make up products?

A few buys!

I have been super busy lately with college but I'm determined to do more blogging so here's a quick post of what i recently purchased!

I've been waiting to try out some Topshop make up for myself so I picked up this gorgeous lipstick in Innocent. This is such a lovely color and it really compliments my skin color, and i was surprised how moisturizing it is on my horrible dry lips - swatches to come!
£8 from Topshop

Finally I went to my nearest MAC counter to get matched up so i treated myself to the Studio Sculpt Foundation in NW20. I havent stopped using it since- review to come!
£23 from MAC

Can anyone recommend any great new buys?

Day 28;

Day 28 - Share 5 of your Top Beauty Secrets/Tips

I love hearing peoples beauty tips so i was looking forward to this post so here goes, if you have and tips for me let me know in the comments!

Sudocrem is the most handy product to have around the house its univeresal, you can use it on rashes, eczema etc but beauty wise it can be used as a foundation primer or if you have a break out then pop some of this on!

Use dry shampoo if your roots are a little greasy, or on clean hair to add more volume!

If you have dry/chapped lips use a lip exfoliator (or make your own) and use a toothbrush and massage your lips!

Before fake tanning always exfoliate to create a clean smooth surface

ALWAYS take off your make up before bed (my pet hate!)

Day 26;

Day 26 - Do a Beauty Review on anything you wish.

Now I wondered what to review for this but I came to the conclusion that I should do it on something I have grown to love recently...

I have uses Morrocan oil on and off for a while but recently my hair hasn't been the best because of the bleach. So i started using it again regularly and Iv'e fallen back in love!

You use this on towel dried hair, I would recommend only on the ends on your hair as it could make your roots greasy, and it leaves damaged or dried air feeling incredibly soft and healthy!

I use the Oil but you can also get other products such as shampoo, conditioner, styling cream, repair mask etc...  To use the oil you use   one pump about a pea size amount and rub it into the end of your hair and then style as normal.

I really recommend this it makes your hair feel healthier, lighter and less dry but it does make your hair get greasy if you use to much product too near the roots.

Any recommendations similar to this i can try out?!

Travel Purfume Atomizer- Ebay!

So on Youtube i've seen the 'Travalo' a few times so i thought i'd look the little gadget up and thought to myself 'that's a little pricey for me' as i'm such a bargain hunter! So instinctive i went straight to Ebay and found this gem!

If you don't know what a travalo is its a little gadget you can get to carry round your purfume without having to take the bottlee!

Now i think a orignal Travelo is £9.99 but i found this dupe for only £3.49, it arrived today and i ripped the packaging open to use it- and its sooo good- no spills nothing! Its great!

Heres how to use it...

Take your favorite purfume and take the spray cap bit off like so...

Now on the bottom there's a little bit that will allow the purfune to go into the tube so place in on top and start pumping!

Then your ready to go!

Day 25;

Day 25 - Favourite Drugstore Make-Up Brand

GOSH GOSH GOSH- If you have read my blog for a while you will know i absolutely love Gosh it is defiantly my favorite 'Drugstore' brand! It's exclusive to Superdrug but if you haven't got a uperdrug near you there's always their website! They have a wide variety of products and I love all of what I have tried!

Whats your favorite Gosh product?

Day 24;

Day 24; My favorite nail polish

I don't tend to wear polish all the time because of my weekend job as a waitress/housekeeper kinda ruins them, and chipped horrible nails really bug me! but I feel when I do i always feel really nice and pretty and my favorite sort of shades are neutral colors and I think my favorite would be the Models Own polish in Naked Shimmer, its right up my street! I love these polishes and this color is simple but still really pretty. I'm pretty sure this shade just came out, you can defiantly buy on their online store!

Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation- 31/3/2012

Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Brightening Foundation

I was given the shade Honey - which to me is too dark but i thought i would give it a go anyway as the girl on the counter said it came up paler when she actually tired it!

**WARNING HORRIBLE PICTURE**

                                              Before                                         After

  As you can see i'm pretty pale so i thought the color was going to be way to dark but as I started applying this with my Bobbi Brown foundation brush i thought 'wow this isn't to bad' but it really needed buffing into the skin so my foundation brush didn't do the job the best. I also added some moisturizer to this as i thought it looked a little cakey when i first applied it but now i don't think it needs it as much! At first i thought EUGH no! but after letting it set for a few minutes it quite nice I'm surprised that i like it!
I have powdered my face in the photo but it does come out a little dewy but today i went for a more matte look!
As for brightening i didn't really see that much but it does give quite a flawless finish if it blended superwell!

It comes in a pump style bottle and it actually gives you a little too much i think, the formula is very liquidy and runny. Coverage can be built up from light to medium but this doesn't cover all our imperfections!

This foundation comes is 9 shades, is oil-free and contains SPF 25 and also PA +++. PA refers to the reflection grade of the UVA filter. A three star rating is the highest you can get!

It also includes something called 'Oxygen Wow Hydrating Complex'. This sounds way to complicatied for me but... this complex helps boost 'cellular respiration' for a “plumping effect”, and it contains vitamins C and E which help prevent signs of aging.

Overall i think this foundation is nice but i'm not sure if i would buy it, maybe if i keep on using it...

It will be available on the counters on the 31st of March for £24.50! But these little testers are available for free if you want to test it out?

Day 22;

Day 22; An item of clothing you really want

Lucy Meck's 'Star Quality' dress from lovelucyx.com this is so gorgeous she wore it to the NTA's and i fell in love! i have no idea where i would wear it, im sure it would look lovely in my wardrobe! I can wish!

I love my MUA Heaven and Earth pallete, i use this day to day and my favorite combination is shade 8, which is a gold shimmery brown color (can't really see it the picture) i put this all over the lid. Then I use shade 5 a dark shimmery brown i use that on my crease to add some definition and depth. I sometime also use shade 1 to highlight my brows but normally i use the benefit Ohh Laa Lift!
