I've been back to college and its not gone well, I've just not got back into the swing of things at all! I've dropped one of my A-Levels as I found all the work very hard to keep on top of. I'm not enjoying college much at all but I am determined to finish my three remaining A-levels! Wish my luck!

Sorry for being away so long! I will get back into the routine of blogging soon!
Look out for a haul, I'm planning a bit of retail therapy!

Beauty Haul

Just picked up a few bits on they way back from work, whoops!

I've been on a skincare hype at the moment and I've nearly out of my Body Shop skin care Vitimin E gift set so i went on the hunt for some drug store skin care for now!

Boots recently re-branded their Botanics range so i decided to give it a shot! The products are designed to suit a range of skin types and they consist of; the Youth skincare range for young skin, the All Bright range for brighter looking skin, the Ultra Calm range to sooth sensitive skin, the Shine Away range that targets blemishes and reduces shine and the Organic range for people who like to use only organic products!

At first i wanted to get the Rose Water Toning Spritz but everywhere seems to be sold out, but i did get the All Bright Cleansing Toner and Cleansing Cream with brightening hibiscus.

All Bright Cleansing Toner: "Cleanses impurities and freshens. This revitalising toner helps visibly tighten pores and instantly brighten skin. Skin is left feeling fresher and prepared for moisurising"
All Bright Gentle Cleansing Cream: "Removes make up and impurities. This creamy cleanser sweeps away make up, oil and impurities without drying, leaving skin soft and brighter looking"

Its a bit boring but I also picked up an essential Dove gofresh Deodorant in Pomegranate & Lemon Verbena Scent. Theres not much to say deodorant is just deodorant, but I always choose Dove.

I finally picked up the Garnier 2 in 1 Tinted Eye Roll-on in Fair. I've wanted this for so long but I couldn't justify paying £10 for it but Superdrug have it on a half price deal at the moment so I picked it up.

It is a Caffeine Anti Dark Circles 2 in 1 Eye Roll-on, it instantly conceals and hydrates.

"Is It Right For Me? Yes, if you regularly experience dark circles under your eyes and find that your usual skin care routine is not enough. you are looking for an immediate solution to hide them"
"How Is It Different? It is out 1st roll-on massage which combines a caring formula with natural ingredients and long-lasting tinted concealer as effective as make-up. The formula, aslong with the massaging balm offers a complete solution to tired eyes and dark circles and bags."

It is enriched with caffeine, known for its stimulating action and lemon extract known for its clarifying properties with this and the roll-on massage is supposed to reduce the appearance of fatigue.

Another essential some 100% Pure Cotton Wool from Superdrug.

What have you bought recently?

MUA Undressed Eye shadow Palette

MUA Undressed Palette

MUA brought out their answer to the Urban Decay Naked Palette not long ago, I love MUA's eyeshadows and when this came out I jumped at the chance. I haven't taken the plunge to the purchase the Naked Palette just yet but after this do I really need it?

The two palettes are very similar in color and even name... naked...undressed?
But a big difference is the price, the MUA Palette retails for £3 vs the Naked Palette is £32!

The palette contains 12 neutral colours 3 matte and the rest shimmers. The matte colours were a bit disappointing as they are not that pigmented and hard to blend but the shimmer colours were a whole other story! They are the better formulated colours and are massively pigmented and blend across the lid perfectly with a light fluffy blending brush.
They do have some fall out but nothing off putting! The colours last at least 4/5 hours without a primer, with a primer they can last for up to 8 hours.
So for £4 I think this palette is a must have!

Do you own the Undressed palette or the Naked palette?

L'Oreal Lumi Magique foundation Reveiw

I have been on the hunt for a new 'drugstore' foundation for ages! i wanted something with a more dewy, glow look more than matte which is what I normally go for.

Lumi Magique is supposed to be a  'light infusing' foundation with 'liquid light technology' - whatever that is?!
The foundation does give a glowing, dewy finish which looks very healthy without looking oily.

Its a medium to buildable coverage but doesn't look cakey at all. I use a buffing brush to work the foundation into my skin and this seemed to be a lot better than a regular foundation brush. This gives it more of a 'second skin' look.
It evens out your skin tone and any discoloration and hides any blemishes, i rarely use concealer on blemishes when i use this foundation.
It is very long wearing, espesially when some areas set with powder. But I don't set mine with power unless i know its going to be hot, or i wouldn't be able to retouch for a while and it still lasts most of the day.

I love that its in a pump bottle, this makes accident prone people like myself less likely to make a mess!

Revlon Lipbutter - Strawberry Shortcake

As soon as my local Superdrug got these in stock i spent about half an hour swatching which ones to get, i came out the shop with rainbow colored hands! But after some thinking this is defiantly my favorite!

Strawberry Shortcake is a really pretty light pick color, its one of the sheerer colors in the range but its lets the natural color of your lips come through and adds vibrancy so its great just for the day time or when your going out with a heavier eye! But still does have an impressive amount of pigment considering its a Lipbutter.

I really love the formula of the Lipbutters, they are really moisurising on the lips and they don't feel sticky at all! There is a great color range to choose from, its almost daunting! They are all really wearable and you can defiantly find a perfect shade for you, I love these for the day time and every time i go near a stall I'm tempted to buy more!

What do you think of Revlon Lipbutters?

April Favorites!

Another month, another favorites!

I am really loving the Real Techniques Blusher Brush. I picked it up after months of waiting and I am so happy with it! The brush tapers to allow presice application and it really applies blush evenly! I really recommend this brush and i cannot wait to pick up more of these brushes.

Boots - £9.99

After looking around for ages picking a new foundation to wear to college, I settled with the L'Oreal Lumi Magique Foundation. I didnt have high hoped but now im so pleased i picked this one up! It leaves a dewy healthy glow on the skin and lasts all day which is perfect for my long days at college!

Boots - £10.99

I have had this Rimmel Soft Khol Liner for a while but this month i have defiantly found a daily use for it! I place it in the corners of my eyes and run it along the bottoms of my eyes  and blend to open my eyes up, which is great for early morning starts!

I am so excited about Revlon Lipbutters! I waited for ages for them to come in at my local Superdrug! I picked up the color Strawberry Shortcake which is a very wearable light pink. These are very moisturizing on the lips and great for the day time!

What are your favorite products this month?

dry, damaged, unhappy hair?

If it's from bleaching, heat or any other factors damaged hair can be  a pain! I've been bleaching my hair to get it back to blonde for a while as I was naturally blonde but went very dark! (and regretted it.)

From all the dying and bleaching and heat my hairs pretty unhappy! So I keep extra care of it so it keeps looking as healthy as I can.

Aussie Leave in Conditioner is my go to product. I use this ever time i wash my hair without fail! It keeps my hair feeling soft, not as many knots. But i only use this on the ends of my hair else my roots go greasy! (be warned)

I use Moroccan Oil if i can feel i have a bad hair day coming on! Only happy a small amount to the ends of my hair and it conditions them making them look soft a luscious! ... but if it gets onto my roots i look like a grease ball!

I have a love/hate relationship with Aussie's 3 Minute Miracle. I use this ever now and again so I only buy the sachets. Some times this makes a massive difference but sometimes it does nothing at all. My hair has a personality!

Have you got any hair care secrets?

MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation

As you may have seen in one of my previous posts i have finally invested in a MAC foundation! I went to get matched up and the sales women asked me a few questions about my skin and in the end i opted for Studio Sculpt Foundation and I was matched to NW20. I have used this quite a few times and thought it was defiantly time for a review!

Studio Sculpt is a gel-based foundation which I had never even heard of! The texture is lovely and a little goes a long way! It gives you a medium/buildable coverage with a satin finish!
It is very long wearing I wear this to college and it stay on perfectly! Its a lovely texture and feel so soft on your skin, its great for drier skin as its feels a lot more moisturising and doesn't emphasize flaky skin.
I found that my Bobbi Brown foundation brush wasn't the best for applying this and i think it is because it is gel based so its a very different constancy, so i also tried a make up sponge and stippling brush and i found the my KCo stippling brush was a great match to apply this foundation with!
The foundation has SPF 15 which is a great bonus especially if you live somewhere sunny! (where i live not so much!)

My final thoughts- I really love this foundation, the color matched me very well and the constancy and texture feels lovely!

MAC - £23 (but its worth it! - treat yourself!)

Topshop Lipstick - Innocent

As you may have seen in my previous blog i have recently purchased my first Topshop Lipstick in Innocent

I didn't think I was going to pick up a lipstick but as soon as I saw this I had to! I love the cute packaging, and the fact that the lid clicks on so this will keep the lipstick from squashing all over your make up bag and the prices are reasonable at £8

I adore the color, it's hard to describe. It's a dark nude with a soft pink/burgandy undertone its soo pretty! The textures are wonderful  and soft and also moisturising as i can't wear a lot of lipsticks because of my horrible dry lips! The finish has a gloss shine to it but not that much!

As you can see its a gorgeous soft pink, really natural but pretty! Great for a day time look or wear a little more with a gloss for the night time!

So overall I'm so pleased with this and really recommenced these lipsticks!

have you tried any of the Topshop make up products?
